Costanoa 11/13 & 11/14
We arrived at Costanoa around 4:30 PM. While we were checking in Bruce & Sherry arrived. We both got checked in and settled into our sites. Bruce & Sherry are directly across from us. Once we were all settled in my brother, Bruce and SIL Soon arrived. We hung out at Bruce & Sherry's for happy hour, then each of us went to our separate RV's for dinner.
After dinner, about 7:30 PM Ray & I took the puppies for a walk and ran into Newton & Rose arriving at the campground entrance. After they got parked in a site we met their friends, Greg & Isabella.
While Newton, Rose and friends got set up and ate dinner, the rest of us went to the comfort station and enjoyed a nice fire in the fireplace, using the firewood KOA had provided. We hung out until about 8:30 and then we all went back to our own RV's. Ray & I took the puppies for one more long walk before calling it a night.

The next morning the weather was kind of weird. One minute it was blue skies and sunshine, the next minute it was overcast and cloudy and looked like it was going to rain. At 11 AM, we decided to go to Pescadero. Newton & Rose rode with Greg & Isabella in their car. While Sherry & I rode with Bruce & Soon. Bruce B. and Ray stayed behind at camp to hold the fort down!
The eight of us went to the Harley Goat Farm, saw the goats and enjoyed goat cheese tasting. Then we were off to downtown Pescadero to the local Market/Bakery for some fresh out of the oven (it was still HOT) artichoke & garlic French bread!
Back at camp, Sherry fixed her cream of artichoke soup and I made grilled ham & cheese sandwiches for all for lunch. Yum, it was all good, especially Sherry's soup!
After lunch, Bruce & Sherry, Ray & I took a nice long walk (without the dogs). We checked out the little store, the bar & grill as well as the lodge and the little platform tents the lodge had.
We hung around camp the rest of the afternoon. It was nippy enough that we started a fire at camp before the sun went down. Bruce & Sherry's kids arrived about 5 PM to surprise Sherry for her birthday!
We all grilled our own meat and brought a dish to share that evening for dinner. After dinner we celebrated Sherry's b day with a big birthday cake & ice cream the kids brought, a pumpkin cheese cake Bruce & Soon brought and a home made chocolate, chocolate trifle I made. YUM!!! All were good. We had so much dessert that we invited the guys tent camping next to us to come share. In the campsite next to us, there were 18 guys celebrating two guy's 40th b day!
We all enjoyed the campfire until about 10 PM when everyone turned in for the night!
The next morning was beautiful (of course, the day we go home) not a cloud in the sky. The sun was shinning brightly and it was warm enough that in the sun, you didn't need a coat or sweater. Bruce and Soon hit the road about 8 AM and were the first to leave.
Ray & I took the puppies for a nice long walk, enjoying the ocean views.
I fixed breakfast burrittos for Bruce & Sherry and Ray & I. We didn't see Newton & Rose for hours!
We hung out at camp with Bruce & Sherry all morning. Greg joined us about 10 AM after his long, long walk along the beach. About 11 AM we finally saw Newton & Rose and Isabella.
We packed up and hit the road at noon. It was a great weekend with great friends.
Next outing is in two weeks. Four nights at Coyote Lake for Thanksgiving!
